Winner – Best Adult Ortho Case in The Dentistry Scotland Awards 2020
Certified – *Pain Free Dentist
Andy graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2013 and has been at Dentistry on the square since 2016. He has continued to develop himself through further training resulting in his membership of the Joint Dental Faculties from The Royal College of Surgeons of England as well as a post graduate certificate in restorative dentistry from the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry.
One of Andy’s main interests within dentistry is orthodontics. Keen to enhance his skills in this area, he completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Orthodontics in 2019 and more recently his Post Graduate Diploma in Clear Aligner Therapy in 2022.
In 2020 Andy won ‘Best Adult Orthodontic Case’ at The Dentistry Scotland Awards. He was also a finalist at both The Dentistry Awards and Scottish Dentistry Awards in 2020 & 2021 in the ‘Best Young Dentist’ category. No two smiles are the same, and Andy believes one of the best parts of planning any smile transformation is spending time getting to know his patients so every makeover can be tailored to meet their individual needs & expectations. He loves the natural and long-lasting results the combination of orthodontics and minimally invasive restorative techniques can provide for his patients.
“I recently finished Invisalign with Andy at Dentistry on the Square and I’m very happy with the results. The whole process was quicker and easier than I had expected. All of the staff at the practice are helpful and friendly and I’ve had a great experience throughout my treatment. Would definitely recommend!”
Away from the practice Andy and his partner Marthe are kept busy with their young son, Malo. Days off are usually spent doing classic toddler activities involving running around with Malo in the park, at soft plays/play dates or swimming. They love spending time in France visiting Marthe’s family as often as possible and Andy has been learning French for several years to make sure he orders the correct cheese and wine when they’re away.
Andy is a keen, but very average golfer and has played at his local club since he was a boy. He’s always liked cars/motorsport and is not against a Sunday afternoon nap on the sofa after watching Formula 1. He loves cooking/making bread and if the chance of a child free night arises, he and Marthe love going out for good food and enjoy trying different restaurants. If not out for food Andy likes going to the cinema with Marthe or meeting up with friends for drinks.“I could not be more delighted with my teeth straightening results with Andy at Dentistry on the Square. Andy showed such care and attention to detail to get everything just right. He always gave considered advice, which reassured me that my plan had the health and condition of my teeth at the forefront. While getting Invisalign attachments on and off isn’t the most relaxing experience, Andy and Kenzey made me feel really comfortable and I always trusted them entirely. It has niggled for years that my teeth weren’t fully straight, but now after such a thorough and thoughtful treatment, I am so happy with them. I’ve transferred dentists to continue with Andy and Dentistry on the Square for regular checkups as I don’t think I’d get the same level of treatment elsewhere. Overall, it has been a fantastic experience.!”
