Professional information

Jamie graduated from the University of Glasgow and started working with Dentistry On The Square in 2011. He has continually developed his skills in order to become a highly skilled cosmetic dentist.

He has a particular interest in both Smile Design and Implant Dentistry with his work limited to these areas. He is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Royal College of Surgeons of England and a Pain Free Certified Dentist.

Jamie is also involved in lecturing and mentoring other dentists teaching them how to restore implants and advanced techniques for improving the appearance of gummy smiles and gum recession. Jamie has hundreds of Smile Makeover cases which can easily demonstrate why you should choose us to deliver a beautiful natural looking pain free smile makeover.

Jamie and his wife Lucinda both met while they were studying at University in Glasgow and finally tied the knot in 2021. 2023 should be an exciting time as they are expecting their first child in the summer.

Just now all their attention is on they’re two very demanding but adorable dogs, Nico & Skye, who love to spend all day dragging them on endless walks around their countryside home and are the perfect wee duo for a snuggle after a hard day at the practice.

Interestingly Jamie was at one time a member of the European Longdrive Tour travelling around Europe competing against top professional golfers. While dentistry now takes priority he still enjoys making time to have some fun playing golf with friends in the summer months.

I can not recommend Dentistry on the Square highly enough! I had been looking at braces treatments for months... I went in and spoke to Elaine who talked through all the available treatments, how each... one works and the different payment options too. Elaine was extremely helpful and I never felt pressured into committing to any treatment. In the end I chose the high speed braces treatment. Daryl and his team were amazing during this process! I was terrified of the dentist after a bad experience when I was younger. I needed extensive work done and was very embarrassed about the state my teeth were in. I visited Dentistry on the Square and was made to feel at ease almost immediately( they definitely don’t judge) The treatment I received... was completely pain free and have never experienced anything like it. I was having dental treatment whilst watching a movie completely surreal as I didn’t actually believe that I would ever sit in a dentist’s chair again let alone enjoy it. Jamie Kerr was amazing but what really blew me away was Jamie Kinnell and his attention to detail, he spent a lot of time getting my teeth just right, on finishing my teeth and placing them he showed them to me and I was absolutely delighted. Jamie then went on to point out everything he thought was wrong with them. He said that he wasn’t 100 per cent happy with them and that if he fitted them they would annoy him in six months time so he’d rather get them totally right he’s a pure perfectionist and an absolute gentleman. Every single person at Denistry on the Square was a pleasure to deal with and all were genuinely lovely people. Can’t thank them enough for giving me my confidence back with my smile and ridding me of my fear of the dentist.
