When Dan first came to see us at Dentistry on the Square, he was looking to brighten his smile and improve the appearance of the chipped edges on his upper front teeth.

During his assessment, we identified that Dan’s bite would need to be addressed before we carried out any cosmetic bonding.

Rather than simply treating the teeth as they were, we wanted to create the right foundations first, helping to make sure the final result was as conservative, predictable and long-lasting as possible. We started by getting Dan’s teeth and gums into the best possible health, including a number of small white composite fillings and hygiene therapy with our fantastic therapist, Amy.

Once everything was healthy and ready, Dan underwent 8 months of Invisalign to correct his crossbite and improve the position of his teeth.

This created a much better starting point for the cosmetic phase, allowing us to add composite bonding more conservatively and with longevity in mind.

The final stage was all about the smile. Dan completed 4 weeks of home tooth whitening, followed by composite bonding on his 6 upper front teeth to improve the shape, symmetry and appearance of the chipped edges.
