Professional information

Sarah graduated as a Dental Therapist from The Royal College of Surgeons in 2009. She completed a year’s vocational training before taking a full time position in Glasgow. As a Therapist Sarah provides treatment for children and adults, taking a keen interest in treating periodontal disease and especially cosmetic dentistry.

She continues to keep up to date with CPD requirements and attends various courses and dental events. Sarah likes to expand her knowledge by reading books and dental literature and is currently enrolled on a postgraduate course in Restorative and Aesthetic Therapy.

In 2021 Sarah won ‘Best Therapist Composite’ at the Aesthetic Dental Awards UK. And in 2022 she won ‘Best Dental Therapist’ at the Clinical Dentistry Awards UK.

Winning 2 prestigious Dentistry awards back-to-back has been a massive achievement in her career to date and something Sarah is very proud of. This has only given Sarah further encouragement to be the best she can be and provide the best treatment for her patients.

Personal information

Sarah has a number of personal interests outside dentistry. In her own time, she enjoys relaxing at home or travelling with her husband Thomas. Whether its weekend trips driving around Scotland in her car with the roof down or travelling further afield to warmer countries for sun and margaritas! Sarah is an animal lover and has two cats, Dallas and Dakota at home. If Sarah got her way all the time, she would have many more!

Sarah enjoys the cinema and likes nothing more than grabbing a large popcorn and drink to watch a movie on the big screen. She also loves boxsets and re-watching boxsets again like Desperate Housewives! Sarah goes on big walks in the area where she lives with friends. She has a close group of friends that she has had since primary school.

Sarah likes music and goes regularly to concerts. Her favourite band since she was very young is Guns N Roses. She has been to see them several times and is even slowly trying to learn the guitar. Maybe one day she will be able to play something! Though Sarah is a huge rock fan she also loves dance music and even hardcore! Her day was made when she managed to get backstage at a Scooter concert and get pictures with the band!

I went in and spoke to Elaine who talked through all the available treatments, how each... one works and the different payment options too. I was terrified of the dentist after a bad experience when I was younger. I needed extensive work done and was very embarrassed about the state my teeth were in. I visited Dentistry on the Square and was made to feel at ease almost immediately( they definitely don’t judge) The treatment I received... was completely pain free and have never experienced anything like it. Some of my appointments were long due... to the treatment I was getting however they were pain free and went in quickly. For every appointment I was able to pick two items from a comfort menu such as a back massager and eye mask. This helped so much and helped me relax.
