With Dr. Jamie Kerr

Melissa came to see us concerned about her wobbly front teeth which were affecting her confidence when eating and smiling. We listened to her ongoing concerns and wishes regarding her treatment goals and formulated a treatment plan which involved some laser treatment to improve her gum health, followed by a combination of implants, crowns, tooth whitening and composite bonding.

The Treatment

After her gum health had improved we removed her front two teeth and replaced them with immediate implants on the same day. After a couple of months of healing, during which time we whitened her existing teeth and performed some composite bonding on her worn lower teeth, we then restored the implants and the adjacent two teeth with crowns to give a sparkling white smile. Melissa can now smile with confidence and eat all the foods she desires.

I’ve been with this practice for a few years now and from the initial appointment with the... smile advisor to having many different treatments with Amy & Sophie for hygiene, Katie for my fillings, Daryl for extractions, Invisalign, crown and cosmetic work, Niall for a root canal and to Jamie who has recently started my treatment for an implant they’ve all been so amazing, as well as the nurses and receptionist staff who make the practice a comfortable experience! All the treatments I’ve had.. which I’ve had many of (not something to brag about) have all been pain free and I’ve had no issues that I’ve ever had to come back for and of course I have to mention Daryl again who has been their from the start dealing with all the dental issues I was insecure about and hats off to his patience with me as I’d always be lazy with my retainers & Invisalign treatment - delaying his work more! I can not recommend Dentistry on the Square highly enough! I had been looking at braces treatments for months... I went in and spoke to Elaine who talked through all the available treatments, how each... one works and the different payment options too. Elaine was extremely helpful and I never felt pressured into committing to any treatment. In the end I chose the high speed braces treatment. Daryl and his team were amazing during this process! I hadn’t seen a dentist in a couple of year due to covid. I had loose teeth, 2 were hanging down at the front! I pulled a molar out with my hands it was so loose. I went to DOTS for an assessment after a couple of family member recommended them. I had a scan shortly after and discovered I had... massive bone loss and some gum loss too. I was talked through all my options and decided on implants. I had all my upper teeth removed, bone reconstruction and 5 implants inserted. A LOT of work! All of this was absolutely and totally PAIN FREE. I was a wee bit skeptical about that statement as I have had a few awful dental experiences in the past. However , it was very true! I used to be afraid to smile as I was so self conscious about my loose teeth, eating was also a chore - having to choose soft options for fear of a tooth coming out. I now have an implant bridge and can smile as widely as a I like - and eat whatever I fancy! Not just the soft option! My treatment has been flawless! And every step has been discussed and explained! Every member of staff is very friendly and professional. I used to dread dentist appointments! Now I weirdly look forward to them! I cannot recommend these guys highly enough!! I just want to say a massive thank you to Dentistry on the Square for my smile make over. I have never been a fan of the dentist and it has always made me very nervous. Sophie and Andy made me feel so comfortable and at ease from my very first appointment.
Some of my appointments were long due... to the treatment I was getting however they were pain free and went in quickly. For every appointment I was able to pick two items from a comfort menu such as a back massager and eye mask. This helped so much and helped me relax.
